The Office Staff has been serving businesses in the Treasure Valley for over 25 years with high quality accounting services.  We have an experienced staff and our team of professionals is lead by our owner, Leslie Major.  Ms. Major is a CPA with more than 20 years experienceserving businesses, non-profits and individuals with their accounting, financial and tax needs.  She is a Boise State alumni with a B.A. in business administration and accounting and a M.S. in Accounting, emphasis in Taxation.  Our staff members have earned various degrees and certifications including bachelors degrees in accounting and the Bookkeeper Certification from the National Association of Certified Bookkeepers.

Our team has knowledge in a wide variety of industries and non-profits. We assist clients using QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online and are certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors.  We also work on LightSpeed, Dealer Management System and other industry specific software.  We have extensive experience working with restaurants, franchisors, distributors, medical and dental practices, manufacturing, retail and auto dealerships.

Leslie Major
Leslie MajorPresident and CEO
As President of Verity Business Consulting and the of The Office Staff, Leslie is putting her entrepreneurial spirit to work for others. She’s bought and sold five successful businesses since her first ownership venture at the ripe age of 26. Her keen ability to see how the small details relate to the big picture ensures her clients receive gold-standard advice with which to attain their business goals.
Leslie and her husband Marshall enjoy spending time with their three children. She thrives on adventure, preferring activities like backpacking, waterskiing, and even a 10-week jaunt to Europe with . Leslie is a homegrown Idaho girl, having spent her youth on a dairy farm in Gooding.
Leslie specializes in accounting system design and implementation. She enjoys working with business owner’s cash flow planning, budgeting, growing and improving their businesses. Her experience spans retail, education, medical, construction, and more.
Leslie is a Certified Public Accountant and an adjunct accounting professor at the University of Phoenix. She holds a Master of Science in Accountancy with an emphasis in Taxation, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration, from Boise State University.
Leslie is an active participant and supporter of Toastmasters, Rotary International, Boise Rescue Mission and her church.
Mindy
MindyAccountant
Mindy’s interest in accounting and finance dates back to her senior year in high school when she interned with Hewlett-Packard. Her years of hands-on experience in the financial world are put to use tackling accounting challenges while keeping “big picture” business growth in mind.
Mindy was born and raised in Boise. Her upbringing gave her a love for the great outdoors, where she, her husband, and two daughters spend much of their time. If you happen to catch her inside, you’re likely to find her sipping coffee and studying the Bible. Mindy’s favorite verse is Lamentations 3:22,23:  “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (ESV)
Mindy specializes in the construction and medical industries. Having begun her accounting career in the construction industry, she brings an in-depth understanding and valuable hands-on experience to our clients.
Mindy holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Boise State University.
Mindy regularly volunteers her time in her daughters’ classrooms and her church community. She is also an active participant in BSF International.
Trina
TrinaAccountant
Trina first got her feet wet in business by keeping books for her husband’s plastic fabrication company. In addition to her work at The Office Staff, she manages some rental properties and has developed an appreciation for real estate.
Trina and her husband have four children, whom Trina home schools. Together, the family spends their summers on the river, but in spring and fall, they cheer for their ball-playing, second-oldest child from the sidelines of a baseball field.
As our part-time administrative assistant, Trina is the team “sweeper”, picking up projects and details others may miss or not have time to complete. She takes on special projects for clients as well.
Trina is a former professional educator who often substitute teaches for both Boise and Meridian School Districts. She has a bachelor’s degree in Education and is a certified bookkeeper.
Trina’s passion for learning and education has inspired her to continue her own education in accounting.
Jean
JeanAccountant
Jean’s aptitude for numbers was apparent at an early age, so she began bookkeeping classes in high school. She took that experience to Treasure Valley Sand and Gravel, where she honed her bookkeeping skills for 18 years.
Jean grew up riding horses on her grandfather’s ranch in Baker City, OR. After Jean’s youngest child “flew the coop” she got back into barrel racing and won her first saddle in October 2015. She and her husband spend time shopping and watching movies with their four grown children and two grandchildren.
Jean specializes in cash flow planning, budgeting, and has a knack for bank reconciliations. She has experience in a wide variety of industries including medical, dental, restaurant, auto repair, logging, real estate, and salons.
Jean furthered her bookkeeping education at ITT Tech of Boise and is a certified bookkeeper.
Jean helps with fundraising for the riding competitions she enjoyed as a girl, and volunteered as both the secretary and the queen coordinator for the Idaho Girls Rodeo Association.
Michelle
MichelleAccountant
While studying graphic communication in college, Michelle kept the books for her family’s hotel and bar, as well as for their residential drinking-water delivery business. After managing the finances for her own graphic design company and another small business, Michelle discovered she enjoyed the organization and balance that bookkeeping requires and launched her career in the field.
Michelle relocated to Idaho to be closer to extended family. She stays busy parenting her two sons, hiking in the foothills, and watching Top Gear. Her “happy place” is in the yard where she gardens and chats with her neighbor.
Michelle is proficient in multiple software programs including QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and CDK LightSpeed and Dealer Management System. As the resident expert on auto dealerships and manufacturing, she understands the complexity of bookkeeping with inventory.
Michelle graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Communication from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She’s taken multiple accounting classes, is a certified bookkeeper, and carries level one QuickBooks certification
Michelle volunteers her bookkeeping services to her son’s Boy Scouts Troop.
Laura
Laura Accountant
Laura’s Bookkeeping experience began in the mid-eighties with several home grown businesses. This eventually grew to owning a bookkeeping business serving multiple clients at a time.
Laura returned home to Idaho in 2007 to be near her family. In her spare time she enjoys writing, painting, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Her experience spans a wide range of industries including shipping, property management, agricultural refrigeration, technical writing, construction, and more. She enjoys getting to understand a client’s business and setting up functions to streamline the functions.
Laura studied bookkeeping under a CPA, and went on to further her training at Santa Rosa Junior College. She was an active QuickBooks ProAdvisor for 7 years.
Laura frequently donates her paintings to fundraising efforts in the community. She also gives assistance and training in QuickBooks for her church.
